Will I be using the Laser Distance Meter outdoors?

I have been in the Laser and Instrument Business for 30 years.  I have been selling and servicing laser distance meters for over 20 years.  It is important to understand the issues that will arise when measuring outdoors with a Laser Meter.

If you need to measure anything outdoors you need to purchase the the Leica Disto E7500, E7500i and D810 laser distance meters.  If you work outside, these models all have an optical scope or digital pointfinder built into them.  Without a scope or a pointfinder you only can see a laser point at a maximum distance of about 30 feet on a bright day.  Chances are if you are measuring outside, 30 feet isn't going to cut it!

The Leica Disto E7500, E7500i and D810 all have the latest 4x zoom digital pointfinder similar to the zoom function on a digital camera.  The cross hairs on the LCD display are precisely calibrated with the laser, so you know that you are measuring to the point you want when you put it in the cross hairs whether you see the laser point or not.
